Volunteering within Somerset Partnership
Volunteering plays an important role within our services and for
people who use our service, their families and carers.
Somerset Partnership recognise the value a volunteer brings to
the Trust, it supports and encourages individuals who have chosen
to give their time and energy freely to benefit the quality of our
services, and contribute to enhancing service users and carers
experience.
Volunteering in the NHS is very rewarding it can really benefit
your self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing, while you make a
valuable contribution to the quality of peoples life.
Somerset Partnership provide a wide variety of volunteering
opportunities across all of its services, such as supporting people
to be part of their local community, support to carers,
volunteering on inpatient wards through to administration and
clerical work.
The Next-step volunteer bureau is responsible for recruiting and
placing volunteers in Somerset Partnership. Training and support is
given to all volunteers throughout their volunteering role.
Volunteers will be expected to undertake pre-volunteer clearance
including a check from the Criminal Records Bureau.
