Every month we celebrate a team and individual staff member who has gone above and beyond their role to deliver great patient care, better patient or carer experience or who have truly demonstrated the Trust’s values in their work in whatever role they have – front-line, back office or support staff.
Employee of the Month
This month's employee of the month is Lily Flurey, Service Assistant, Yeovil Integrated Team at Magnolia House in Yeovil.
Lily was nominated by Sandra Firth, Operational Service Manager and Susan Hill, Integrated Team Manager in Yeovil, who said:
“Lily is the true representation of someone who continuously demonstrates the Trust’s values and behaviours in her day to day work. She is always going above and beyond to ensure that Magnolia House is a clean, comfortable and enjoyable place to visit from a client’s perspective and work at from a team member’s perspective. Lily is extremely organised, efficient and flexible to the needs of the service and service users.
“Lily makes each and every one of us smile with her presence, she takes interest in us as individuals making us feel valued, she ensures that the environment is immaculate for our clients visits and for us to work in and brightens our day with flowers picked from her own garden."

The Team was nominated by patients and other staff at Holford Ward, for the fabulous work they do.
“Recently, the Occupational Therapy (OT) schedule began offering ‘A build a Baguette‘ session at lunchtime, giving our patients the opportunity to make their own lunch, enabling choice and offering a healthy alternative to a hot meal. This made meal times are a more fulfilling experience, both for patients and staff, sitting together and sharing a meal. It has been hugely successful.
“The Team have embraced this, alongside offering the hot meal they provide. They have helped prepare food, putting forward ideas, presenting the food looking so good, we could get a Michelin star! "
