Every month we celebrate a team and/or individual staff member who has gone above and beyond their role to deliver great patient care, better patient or carer experience or who have truly demonstrated the Trust’s values in their work in whatever role they have – front-line, back office or support staff.

“South Petherton Community Hospital is extremely fortunate to have a group of eighteen volunteers who help throughout the hospital.
“The volunteers carry out a variety of tasks such as the life after stroke group, reception duties, X-ray reception, calling into clinics, helping out at the expressive movement therapy group, the book trolley, visiting patients, covering the evening ward reception, volunteer chaplain and assisting the activities co-ordinator.
“Our volunteers are essential to the smooth running of the hospital and we appreciate every hour that they give of their time, to help patient and staff.
“We would like to thank the volunteers for everything they do, as well as being such happy and flexible people!”
