CAMHS Single Point of Access
Referrals to the Single Point of Access (SPA) for CAMHS can be made by a wide range of agencies and professionals. The service welcome referrals by letter, use of the CAMHS referral form, by telephone or Early Help Assessment (EHA) form. At present the SPA is unable to accept self-referrals from parents/young people but this is something we are working on and we hope will be available in the future.
SPA has clinicians available for telephone support Mon-Fri (9am - 4.30pm) for advice about how to access the appropriate CAMHS service in a timely manner.
You can download the Eligibility Criteria for Somerset CAMHS as well as the referral form referral form. We have provided additional guidance on “what makes a good CAMHS referral" to support you in this process. A referral form contains personal and sensitive information so please make sure that the form is sent to us in a safe and secure way by following this advice.
