Who we are
Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides a wide range of integrated community health, mental health, learning disability and social care services to people of all ages.
Our aim is to provide you with the care and support you need for all the health conditions we treat. We will involve you and your family or carers, if appropriate, in all decisions about your care and ensure you have a record of what is agreed.
The Trust employs 3,838 staff, and has a turnover of £158 million. We provide services from 13 community hospitals across the county, and we provide mental health inpatient services on 9 mental health wards. We run 7 minor unit units and 4 dental access centres, including on the Isle of Wight and in Dorset. We make more than 1.1 million patient contacts each year. We see people in our community team bases, in GP surgeries and local clinics, in a range of non-NHS community settings and at home.
Somerset Partnership was authorised as a Foundation Trust on 1 May 2008, and we have more than 10,000 members and 33 governors.
