Supporting our staff to develop and progress is fundamental to meeting our shared vision.
Staff are encouraged to progress throughout their career with us and we work closely with Health Education South West and Health Education England to ensure that our workforce are able to meet the needs of our communities.

New staff joining us immediately access a robust programme of mandatory training that ensures they are supported to undertake their role confidently and successfully.
In addition we have recently embedded the Talent for Care framework. Ensuring that our support staff (Bands 1 to 4) are developing the fundamental skills required to deliver high quality care and are encouraged to progress.
Delivering best practice and developing new practice is driven by continuous professional development (CPD) and pathways into nursing are available and encouraged for non-qualified staff.
